Suddenly, Michael Stewart
is in with a great chance of boys' title double at Blairgowrie

The third-round scores have suddenly brought Michael Stewart within reach of pulling off the Scottish boys' match and stroke-play doubles over the Lansdowne course at Blairgowrie this afternoon.
The Troon Welbeck teenager, pictured right by Cal Carson Golf Agency, was six shots behind pacemaker Mark Bookless (Sandyhills) at the start of the third and last day.
But, by lunchtime, the lead had been slashed to just one shot.
Bookless had a 75 for four-under-par 212; Stewart a two-under-par 70 for 213.
Colin Thomson (East Renfrewshire), second overnight, dropped down the leaderboard with a 79 for 220.
So too did third-placed Kyle McClung (Wigtownshire County) with a 74 for 216.
