LAMB WINS PAUL LAWRIE GOLD
MEDAL BY FOUR AT PETERHEAD


Newmachar's Chris Lamb won the Paul Lawrie Gold Medal and North-east District Under-14 boys' golf championship at Peterhead Golf Club today.
Chris had a score of 64 for two circuits of the nine-hole course for which the par is 62 but the CSS today was 61.
Lamb won by four shots from Jack Moir (Newburgh) who won the silver medal with a better inward half than Ben Murray (Portlethen) who also returned a 68. Ben won the bronze medal donated by Paul Lawrie.

The handicap prizes when to Scott Philips (Peterhead) with a net 57 off 15.
Ryan McKinnon (Peterculter) was runner-up with a net 59 off 17. Third was Bradley Fraser (McDonald Ellon) with a net 61 off 17 (better inward half) and fourth was Grant Joss (Royal Aberdeen) with a net 61 off 12.
